He Is Gone


You can shed tears that he is gone,
Or you can smile because he lived,
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see him
Or you can be full of the love that you shared,
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on,
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

Hey Little brother I am miissing you so much. There isn't a day that goes by that I am not thinking of you. I will always remember the rock fights we had, It was me and you against Nina & Laquitta that was fun. I am so glad we met up a few years ago and got to float the river together that was a good time. I just wish that we had more time with you. But I know you are in good hands, you are with God now and our Mother & Father.

This picture was sent to me by Gary Miller, Ted's friend from San Diego. Gary, Laquetta (Ted's Sister), Amber (Ted's Niece) and Robin (Teds Sister) went out to Maryland to take care of Ted's affairs, while in Maryland Ted's friends and co-workers at Mariott held a memorial service for him at his favorite restuarantf about 50 attended. Gary said he was worried that Ted might have been "all alone" while he lived in Maryland but was comforted that he had such a showing of love, he obviously had many friends and was loved very much in Maryland.

Gary and I were talking one day, we laughed when we talked about how Ted choose his friends, we agreed that when Ted choose you as a friend, you had no choice in the matter, you were just required to cooperate, thank God that I got to be chosen.

 

I'll always remember my best friend, and his infectious laugh.

 

I am reminded in this picture of the attitude that Ted was so full of. He love to give attitude and we shared alot of time giving each other a good time. I will miss your attitude, many times as we were talking on the phone and it was about time to hang up he would say "we'll bitch your boaring me, i've got to go" What I would do to hear you say that again! I'm sure your giving someone else that same attitude in your new life.
